The story behind Silverstone Lodge

December 2017 — when dreams became reality
This was the moment Karin and Mpho Nhlengethwa took over the beautiful haven now known as Silverstone Lodge.

Karin, originally from Sweden, first came to Eswatini (then Swaziland) in 2010 as a volunteer. During her time here, she met Mpho, a passionate local tour guide born and raised in Lobamba — often called “The Heart of Eswatini”, as it is home to King Mswati III’s royal residence.

Seven years after their paths first crossed, Karin and Mpho married, building both a life and a dream together. Today, they live in Eswatini with their three sons — Phemba, Sakhile, and Nelane — and continue to pour their hearts into Silverstone Lodge.

Their story is a beautiful meeting of two cultures — Swedish and Swazi — a blend they have lovingly woven into the atmosphere, hospitality, and spirit of the lodge itself.

We warmly invite you to experience our paradise, Silverstone Lodge, where tranquility, cultural connection, and heartfelt hospitality come together to offer you total relaxation and peace of mind.
